Genesis

Kendriya Vidyalaya NHPC Uri, located in Gingle, Uri, Baramulla, Jammu & Kashmir, is part of the extensive network of Kendriya Vidyalayas established to provide quality education to the children of transferable central government employees, including defense personnel. The school was founded in 1998 and officially opened on April 1, 1998

Vidyalaya is situated in NHPC colony, Gingle. Vidyalaya is about 30 KMs from district headquarters Baramulla. It is a single section school.
